Step by Step Process
Created for my independent study, Shape Design. The assignment was to generate a random street view via Map Crunch and create a shape-focused design inspired by the real-world imagery. The location selected is from Port Underwood Road in Marlborough, New Zealand.
My primary goal for this painting was to push my shape design and establish a personal voice. After blocking out each individual object within the scene, I cut into the shape to establish control of the edges and add character to the environment.
